人工骨による手の外科治療

　手の外科領域では人工骨は内軟骨腫などの良性骨腫瘍の摘出後の骨欠損部の補てんや，骨粗鬆を有する患者の骨折部の補てん材料などとして使用されている．骨折では橈骨遠位端骨折での使用例が多く，最近では変形治癒骨折に対する楔開き型矯正骨切り術によって生じた骨欠損部の補てんにも利用されている．人工骨の種類や形状は様々であるので，各人工骨の特性をよく理解し，使用部位や用途により使い分けが必要である．人工骨の臨床応用の範囲は，コンピュータ支援手術の応用や，骨形成蛋白(BMP)の臨床応用により，今後ますます拡大されるものと予想される．
