人工骨によるリウマチ・関節外科治療

　関節リウマチの治療戦略は生物学的製剤の登場により大きく変化しつつある．それは，薬物療法の範囲にとどまらず，むしろリウマチ関節外科的治療の分野でこそ大きく変わりつつある．その中の一つの事例として，十分な疾患コントロールを行いつつ人工骨移植をうまく利用した手術の適応が広がったことが挙げられる．これによりこれまでに比較して高いゴールを目指した手術を行うことができるようになったが，このリウマチの手術治療戦略の変革をもたらしたもう一つの要因は，内部にまで迅速に骨形成が進む骨伝導に優れた全気孔連通ハイドロキシアパタイト多孔体の登場である．生物学的製剤もこの連通多孔体人工骨も同じ2003年に登場した．
