自家培養軟骨細胞移植による治療

　関節軟骨損傷に対しては，現在まで様々な治療方法が試みられてきたが，限局性の関節軟骨損傷であっても本来の硝子軟骨で確実に修復することは非常に困難である．私たちは難治性の関節軟骨損傷に対し，第二世代自家培養軟骨細胞移植術を行ってきた．これは患者自身の軟骨細胞を採取し，細胞増殖の足場(scaffold)内で三次元培養することにより生体外で軟骨様組織を作製し，これを軟骨損傷部に移植するものである．本稿では本法の術式と術後成績を報告するとともに，私たちが行ってきた基礎研究の結果について紹介する．
