メタロチオネインは神経障害性疼痛の発生を抑制する―CRPS患者の末梢神経を用いたプロテオミクス解析

　神経障害性疼痛の代表的疾患であるcomplex regional pain syndrome(以下，CRPS)に対する有効な治療方法は確立されていない．さまざまな分子レベルの研究がなされているが，発症要因が複雑であるため，いまだ病態解明には至らない．CRPSの発症には中枢神経系と末梢神経系の双方が関与するとされる．われわれは，末梢神経系に着目し，CRPS患者の末梢神経のタンパク質解析を行うことで，これまでCRPSとの関連が全く示唆されていなかった新しいタンパク質の同定に成功した．本稿では，タンパク質解析の概略および同定されたタンパク質の臨床応用の可能性について言及する．
