気象痛と対策

気象痛の調査研究

　慢性痛が気象変化の影響を受けて悪化したり緩解したりすることは経験的によく知られている．本誌の主な読者である整形外科医が診療する患者の訴えとしても少なくない．このような疼痛を「気象痛」あるいは「天気痛」と呼び，生気象学では気象変化の影響を受けやすいと考えられるその他の病態(うつ病，心臓疾患，めまい，喘息など)とともに「気象病」と総称している．

　天気の変化と疼痛についての国内外の報告をまとめてみると，気象要素のうち気圧，気温，湿度の変化と降雨，雷，風が痛みの増悪因子である．疾患としては，腰痛，頚部痛，外傷治癒後の疼痛(骨折痛，瘢痕痛)，片頭痛，三叉神経痛，ヘルペス後神経痛，神経絞扼症候群など，さまざまな疼痛疾患について報告があるが，特に関節リウマチ，変形性関節症，線維筋痛症の報告例が多い¹²⁾．
