文献概要
MRIは関節軟骨の評価における中心的なモダリティであり,軟骨の損傷や変性の診断に極めて有用である.近年,MRI機器や撮像技術の進歩に伴い,より高い信号雑音比,より高い空間分解能での形態評価が可能となってきた.また軟骨中の分子構造変化を鋭敏にとらえることが可能な新しいMRI評価法が臨床応用されつつあり,軟骨変性の早期診断や軟骨変性度の定量的評価に有用な方法として期待される.今後,変形性関節症に対する予防医学の発展や軟骨損傷に対する再生医療技術の進歩などに伴い,軟骨の詳細な形態的,質的MRI診断の重要性はさらに高まるものと考えられる.
