新しい骨イメージングとしての¹⁸F-fluoride PETの進歩

　細胞レベルでの代謝活動を画像化する機能的画像診断であるPETは，形態学的変化や質的変化を捉える単純X線やCT，MRIとは異なる情報を得ることができる．特に骨代謝亢進を捉える¹⁸F-fluoride PETはさまざまな骨関節疾患に有用である可能性がある．われわれはこれまでに変形性股関節症の早期診断や病期進行予測，特発性大腿骨頭壊死症における骨頭圧潰の予測，人工関節周囲感染と無菌性ゆるみとの鑑別などに応用し，その有用性を報告してきた．今後，骨シンチグラフィに変わる新たな骨イメージングとしての役割が期待される．
