最近の関節リウマチに対する関節外科手術の変化

　現在の関節リウマチ治療において薬物療法だけではどうしても炎症の鎮静化のみに主眼が置かれる．しかし，治療の最終目標はあくまでも日常生活の質的向上であり，薬物療法だけでカバーできないところは外科的治療により補完する必要がある．そのためには，今後も薬物療法を中心に外科的治療による併用療法を治療のオプションとして考える姿勢が求められる．また，生物学的製剤などにより病勢が安定化することで，手指や足趾など小関節に対してよりきめ細やかな外科治療の需要も増えてくると予想されており，これからは薬物療法の進歩に伴い外科的治療の変化も求められているのである．
