骨軟部腫瘍の画像診断におけるX線撮影とCTの意義

　骨腫瘍の画像診断の基本は，依然として単純X線撮影であり，その重要性は低下していない．骨腫瘍においては，古典的解析法として，病変の辺縁，骨化ないし石灰化した基質，骨膜反応を解析する方法が存在する．それによって，病変の組織型や悪性度の推定が可能である．CTは単純X線撮影における重なりを解消し，脊椎のような複雑な形状の骨や肩甲骨・腸骨のような扁平骨を詳細に分析する手段となる．さらにCTはコントラスト分解能に優れているため，骨化や脂肪の情報は軟部腫瘍の鑑別診断に有用である．
