FAIと寛骨臼形成不全の病態と概念

　近年，股関節痛，また変形性股関節症の原因として大腿骨寛骨臼インピンジメント(femoroacetabular impingement：FAI)の存在が注目されている．しかしながら，一次性の変形性股関節症が多くを占める欧米諸国に対して，わが国における股関節痛の多くは寛骨臼形成不全に起因することは過去の報告から明らかとなっており，わが国において股関節痛を診療するうえで寛骨臼形成不全の病態把握は不可欠であると言える．本稿では，FAIと寛骨臼形成不全の病態と概念に関して概説する．
