MüllerによるTHRの改良

　ベルン(スイス)の整形外科医Maurice Müllerは，Charnleyの成功に触発されて以下の3点に改良を加え，自らデザインした人工関節の製品化に成功した．すでに骨折治療を標準化(AO-system)することに成功していた彼は，手術機器メーカーの協力を得て，“普及するTHR”を目指したわけである．
