超音波検査を用いた手根管症候群の母指球筋萎縮の評価法

背景：母指球筋萎縮における客観的な評価として超音波検査を用い，手根管症候群(CTS)の母指球筋萎縮を評価した．

対象と方法：手術を施行した母指球筋萎縮を伴うCTS患者32手を対象とし，術前に超音波検査を用いて母指球筋の筋厚を測定した．

結果：電気生理学的重症度と並行してまず短母指外転筋の筋厚減少がみられ，重症度の進行につれて母指対立筋の筋厚減少がみられた．

まとめ：超音波検査を用いたCTSの母指球筋萎縮の評価は可能である．
