認知症高齢者の痛みの実態—グループホーム入居者での検討

　本稿では，グループホームの制度的発展過程を振り返るとともに，近年，筆者が実施したグループホームにおける痛みに関する調査を検討した．その結果，特に老年後期の入居者が圧倒的多数を占めるグループホームにおける整形外科系の疾患に伴う痛みへの対応と，がん併存認知症高齢者など看取りケアを希望する入居者に対する緩和ケア機能のさらなる充実の必要性が示唆された．
