高齢者に用いられるZweymüller型ステム(SL-PLUS®，SL-PLUS® MIA)の特徴と低侵襲THA

　Zweymüller型ステムは長方形断面，ダブルテーパーデザインを特徴とするセメントレスのストレートステムであり，髄腔占拠率が抑えられ，骨内膜上の組織や海綿骨を温存し，髄腔内の血流を保つことが可能である．骨脆弱性を有する症例，大腿骨近位部の変形が強い症例，大腿骨骨切り術後の症例にも対応可能で，高齢者に対しても良好な臨床成績が報告されており，適応が広く汎用性のあるステムである．SL-PLUS®MIAステム(Smith ＆ Nephew, Memphis, TN, USA)は外側ウイング部をラウンドバック状へとデザイン変更したことにより，大転子部の骨温存および大転子内側に付着する筋腱の温存が可能となり，従来のZweymüller型ステムと比較してより低侵襲に手術を行うことが可能になっている．
