Balloon Kyphoplasty(BKP)の治療成績—わが国における現状を含めて

　Balloon kyphoplasty(BKP)は，高齢社会を迎えている国々の共通の問題である脆弱性椎体骨折に対する1つのスタンダードな治療となっている．BKPがわが国で認可され5年が経過し，その現状を把握し今後の展望を考えるためにreviewを行った．BKPは痛みを軽減しQOLを改善するが，BKPの適応および施行時期が明確でないこと，隣接椎体骨折は高率に発症しているが，その予防策はいまだ十分とは言いがたいことが，今後解決していかなければいけない問題点である．
