リウマチ患者のBody Image

はじめに

　関節リウマチ(rheumatoid arthritis：RA)は原因不明の慢性炎症性疾患であり，適切に疾患活動性が制御されないと，遷延する滑膜炎による疲労，抑うつをもたらし，長期的には関節破壊や変形を生じる．疾患過程においてRA患者ではbody imageに障害を来していることが報告されているが^1-6)，body imageは患者の主観的評価であり，他者からはその状態がみえにくく判断しにくいため，愁訴は見過ごされがちである．一方，変化に伴うbody imageの障害に対して，必要なときに適切な介入を行うためには，body imageを数値化して客観的に捉える必要がある．本稿ではRA患者におけるbody imageについて最近の知見を交えて述べる．
