【総論】インプラント周囲骨折における骨粗鬆症管理の現状と課題

　高齢者で高い有病率を示す変形性関節症を治療対象とする人工関節手術において，骨粗鬆症の合併は決して稀なことではない．わが国では現在も高齢化が進行しており，人工関節症例に対して適切な骨粗鬆症管理を施さなければ，インプラント周囲骨折が今後増加の一途を辿ることは避けられない．骨折予防に向けた取り組みの一環として，われわれはインプラント周囲骨折患者における骨粗鬆症管理の実態を調査した．本稿では，インプラント周囲骨折増加の社会的背景を述べた後，われわれの実態調査に基づいた今後の課題について論じる．
