脊椎転移診療における手術後QOL

　骨転移診療の目的は，骨折と麻痺を予防してQOLを維持向上することである．QOLなどの患者主観的な評価についての研究は従来少なかったが，近年のがん患者のQOLへの関心の高まりにより，QOLを指標とした骨転移に関する報告も増加傾向にある．骨転移患者によく用いられるQOLスケールとして，EuroQOL-5Dimension(EQ-5D)，the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire for patients with bone metastases(EORTC QLQ-BM22)などがあり，これらを指標として脊椎転移の手術前後のQOLを比較検討した研究が散見され，いずれも手術によるQOL向上が示されている．
