　膝周囲骨切り術(AKO)の最大のメリットは膝関節を温存できることである．近年，より解剖学的な膝関節面の再建を行うことが推奨されるようになり，骨切り術も多様化してきている．適切なAKOで下肢アライメントを矯正し，半月板・軟骨といった関節内組織へのアプローチを加えれば，膝関節再生・再建はさらに充実するものと考える．
