本邦において，ラジオ波焼灼療法(RFA)は肝細胞癌に対して主に行われてきたが，2021年12月24日にCool-tip^TM RFAシステムEシリーズ(Covidien)を用いたRFAの適応拡大がなされた．われわれは，当院の整形外科と連携して2022年から治療を開始し，初期経験としては良好な治療成績を得ている．本稿では，骨軟部領域におけるRFAの保険適用および，RFAの役割について議論する．
