2015年に日本股関節学会が大腿骨寛骨臼インピンジメント(FAI)の診断基準を発表し,本邦でも積極的にFAI治療が行われるようになった.近年,手術治療は股関節鏡視下手術が主流になりつつあり,おおむね良好な成績が得られている.関節鏡を用いた低侵襲手術でFAIにおける股関節病態の改善と変形性股関節症の発症予防が期待される一方で,術後早期の再手術例や人工股関節置換術へ移行する例も存在し,保存療法で手術を回避できる例も少なくないため,その適応には注意を要する.
