全国骨・軟部腫瘍登録は，希少がんである骨・軟部腫瘍に特化した全国規模のデータベースであり，世界的にも類をみない貴重な骨・軟部腫瘍の情報源である．2006年から登録が電子化され，収集される情報は詳細かつ質の高いものとなり，さらには2014年から電子化されたデータの研究目的の利用が可能となった．全国骨・軟部腫瘍登録データを利用した研究は，2024年3月現在，合計30編以上の英文論文として公表されている．本稿では，全国骨・軟部腫瘍登録の概要について述べる．
