2022年春の診療報酬改定で大腿骨近位部骨折患者に対する二次性骨折予防継続管理料と緊急挿入・緊急整復固定加算が新設されたことで，本骨折の診療に大きな改善がもたらされた．日本脆弱性骨折ネットワーク(FFN-Japan)は国際的な歩みと同調して日本における脆弱性骨折診療の向上に寄与している．
