Ⅰ．はじめに

　近年，スポーツ活動が盛んになり，その種類も多様化して従来では考えられなかったような損傷や障害がみられるようになった。本来は楽しむべきスポーツ活動において，事故などが生じることで損傷や障害をきたすことがある。そうしたスポーツ活動による損傷や障害に対する診断と治療，さらには事故発生の予防などの適切な医学的な対応が，今後よりいっそう臨床医学に携わる専門医に求められるようになってきている。本稿では，この観点から内耳障害について述べる。
