定義・概念

　Ectodermal dysplasia（外胚葉異形成）は，歯・皮膚・付属器（髪，爪，脂腺，汗腺など）の2つ以上の欠損をきたす疾患群である^1）。胎児の外胚葉組織の異常によって，組織の異常が出現する。そのうち，EEC（ectrodactyly-ectodermal dysplasia-clefting）症候群は，ectrodactyly（手足の指の欠損），ectodermal dysplasia（外胚葉異形成），口唇および口蓋裂，涙管の異常などを合併する疾患である。
