Ⅰ　はじめに

　いびきに悩む成人はかなりの数にのぼると思われる。近年では，睡眠時無呼吸症候群（sleep apnea syndrome：SAS）の一症状や前段階とみなされ，家庭内での騒音問題からいびきを発する人自身への問題へと様相が変わってきた。この身近にあるいびきについて，日帰り可能な手術治療を中心に解説する。
