気道上皮細胞と耳鼻咽喉科疾患

耳鼻咽喉科には多くの粘膜疾患がみられる。各種中耳炎や副鼻腔炎,アレルギー性鼻炎などは粘膜病変が主といえる。これらの疾患の理解のためには粘膜の構成成分である上皮細胞の理解が必須である。ここでは,まず気道上皮細胞の構造と機能について概説する。次に線毛の先天性疾患として原発性線毛運動不全症について,さらに気道上皮細胞によるムチン産生と耳鼻咽喉科疾患,滲出性中耳炎と粘液線毛輸送,アレルギー性鼻炎と気道上皮細胞とのかかわりについて述べる。
