Ⅰ．聴器障害を引き起こすウイルス

　聴器に障害を引き起こすウイルスには，先天性難聴を引き起こすものとしてサイトメガロウイルス（cytomegalovirus：CMV），風疹ウイルス（rubella virus）が，また後天性難聴やめまいを引き起こすものとしてムンプスウイルス（mumps virus），水痘帯状疱疹ウイルス（varicella-zoster virus：VZV），麻疹ウイルス（measles virus）が挙げられる。本稿ではこれらのウイルス感染症について，その特徴，治療，予防について最近の知見を交えて述べる。
