耳鼻咽喉科とアンチエイジング

Ⅰ　はじめに

　アンチエイジング医学とは加齢という生物学的プロセスに介入を行い，積極的に健康長寿を目ざす究極の予防医学である。耳鼻咽喉科が扱う感覚器の老化に対して科学的なエビデンスに基づく治療法や予防法はいまだ確立しているとはいえず，耳鼻咽喉科に対する期待は大きい。

　本稿では，アンチエイジング医学における耳鼻咽喉科の役割はなにか，また，耳鼻咽喉科の開業医がいま一般診療の現場でできるアンチエイジング療法はどのようなものがあるか，これまでの知見をまとめる。さらに当院のアンチエイジング外来の紹介とアンチエイジングの普及の試みと難しさについて述べる。
