POINT

●LAUP手術は手術適応が問題となる。

●扁桃肥大なし，AHI＜5/h，若年齢（＜30歳），非肥満者（BMI＜25kg/m²）の成人いびき症患者がLAUP手術の対象となる。

●狭窄部位より下方を切除する術式であり，閉塞性睡眠時無呼吸症（OSA）治療には繋がらない。

●術後疼痛，および口蓋垂と軟口蓋の拘縮・瘢痕化という副作用が生じうる。

●デイサージャリーを行うにあたり，①術前に睡眠検査（PSG）を行うこと，②術日の術後ケアができる診療体制とすること，③術後フォローを行うこと，の3つが必須である。
