POINT

●エビデンスレベルの高い嗅覚障害の治療法には，鼻茸を伴う慢性副鼻腔炎に対する経口・鼻噴霧ステロイド療法，アレルギー性鼻炎に対する鼻噴霧ステロイド療法がある。

●ベタメタゾン点鼻療法は，鼻噴霧ステロイド療法よりも強力な抗炎症効果が期待できる。点鼻姿勢が重要であり，枕なし側臥位は有効である。下垂体・副腎系の抑制といった副作用を避けるため，長期使用にあたっては休薬期間を設ける。

●ステロイド療法は，症候性の味覚障害に有効な場合がある。
