POINT

●手術前の副腎皮質ステロイド投与により，術後悪心嘔吐，術後疼痛の緩和が期待される。周術期の副腎皮質ステロイド単回投与による手術部位感染などの合併症は増加しないと報告されている。

●高催吐リスク抗癌剤に対する制吐療法として副腎皮質ステロイドが有効である。また，免疫チェックポイント阻害薬の投与による有害事象の治療にも副腎皮質ステロイドが重要な役割を果たしている。

●頭頸部癌の緩和医療においても副腎皮質ステロイドが有用である場合がある。
