POINT

◆腫瘍マーカーとは，腫瘍の存在と，その種類や量を反映する指標となる物質の総称である．

◆目的とするがん以外の疾患や加齢，喫煙などでも高値を示すことがあり，腫瘍マーカー値の解釈には注意が必要である．

◆頭頸部がんの腫瘍マーカーは，治療効果の判定や治療後の経過観察目的で使用されているのが現状で，早期診断に使えるマーカーはまだ確立されていない．
