POINT

●緩徐に発症する高齢者の嚥下障害に対しては外来での早期対応が重要である。

●外来での嚥下診療は初診，精査，説明，指導などと分割して行うことにより一般外来と並行して実施可能で，検討する時間も確保できる。

●高齢者の嚥下障害では嚥下機能の改善以上に，栄養療法，義歯と口腔ケア，療養環境の整備など支持的なアプローチが重要である。

●嚥下障害を気にかけてフォローアップするだけでも十分な意義がある。
