ムンプスウイルスが原因と考えられた小児前庭神経炎症例

はじめに

　小児のめまいは成人の1％程度の有病率^1）とされる。そのなかでも，前庭神経炎が占める割合は20％ほど^2,3）であることから，小児前庭神経炎は稀な疾患と考えられる。前庭神経炎の病因としてウイルス感染が一因と考えられているが，ウイルス感染が証明された症例は多くはなく，ムンプス感染が小児前庭神経炎の原因とされる症例は今までに報告はない。今回，ムンプス感染症が原因と考えられた小児前庭神経炎症例を経験したので報告する。
