POINT

●主な睡眠呼吸障害には閉塞性睡眠時無呼吸（OSA），中枢性睡眠時無呼吸，睡眠関連低換気障害がある。

●OSAの頻度は高く，治療が必要な中等症以上の患者は成人男性の約20％，閉経後女性の約10％に及ぶ。

●高血圧，糖尿病などの生活習慣病や，虚血性心疾患，心房細動がある患者のOSAの頻度はさらに高くなる。

●無呼吸・低呼吸が睡眠1時間あたり30回以上あると予後は悪化する。
