睡眠時無呼吸症候群が社会に与える影響

POINT

●睡眠時無呼吸症候群およびその併存症はabsenteeismあるいはpresenteeismの原因となり,また,医療コストの増加要因となる。

●睡眠時無呼吸症候群そのものの症状は個人レベルのパフォーマンスの低下と関連する。

●睡眠時無呼吸症候群があると社会経済状況が悪化し,また,低い社会経済状況は睡眠時無呼吸症候群の発症と関連するため,両者が悪循環を形成し,社会格差の原因となっている。

●睡眠時無呼吸症候群の予防および医療は,社会格差解消の一助となっている可能性がある。
