POINT

●嗅覚障害に用いられる薬剤には，局所および経口ステロイド，分子標的治療薬，医療用漢方製剤，ビタミンB₁₂，亜鉛製剤などがある。

●その多くは適応症に嗅覚障害はなく，嗅覚障害の原因疾患や併存疾患に対して処方していくことが多い。

●汎用される薬剤のうち嗅覚障害の適応症を有するのは経口ステロイド薬のみだが，長期に使用することは勧められない。

●薬剤の作用機序を理解し，個々の患者の病態に即した薬剤を，適切なタイミングと期間で使用していくことが重要である。
