神経変性疾患による嗅覚障害

POINT

●神経変性疾患であるアルツハイマー病，パーキンソン病，レビー小体型認知症などは発症前から病初期に嗅覚障害を高頻度に認める。

●原因不明の嗅覚障害患者のなかに，神経変性疾患の前駆症状としての嗅覚障害患者が含まれている可能性がある。

●神経変性疾患に生じる嗅覚障害の特徴として，「におっても何のにおいかわからない」というように嗅覚同定能が障害される。

●嗅覚障害は，神経変性疾患における認知機能障害の発症予測や早期診断のバイオマーカーとして有用である。
