傷害予防を目的とした装具使用の実際―スポーツ傷害に対する再発予防用装具と理学療法

はじめに

　近年，スポーツ傷害用装具は膝・足関節を中心に，アメリカを主体として数多く開発・販売されている．スポーツ傷害（外傷・障害）に対する理学療法においても，装具は重要な役割を担っているが，その効果や有効性について十分な客観的検証がされているとはいえない．しかし，臨床では装具の使用により安定感や安心感，疼痛の軽減など，患者の主観的改善を得られることも多い．本稿では，代表的なスポーツ傷害に対する再発予防を目的とした装具と理学療法について解説する．
