はじめに

　前十字靱帯（anterior cruciate ligament：ACL）損傷者の理学療法評価のポイントとは何か？　ACL損傷に限ったことではないが，それはまず，患者が理学療法士に何を求めているのかを考えることであろう．ACL損傷者の多くはスポーツ愛好家であり，スポーツ復帰を望んでいる．そのため，スポーツ活動の継続を目標に，ACL損傷に至った原因を追究し，再受傷予防につなげていくことが必要である．また，ACL損傷の多くは非接触性の損傷であるとされていることから，スポーツ活動時の運動制御に問題があると言える．運動制御とは，筋肉と関節運動によって，状況に応じ，運動を安全かつ効率的に行うことである^1）．

　本稿では，運動制御を中心として，ACL損傷後の再受傷予防に向けた理学療法評価のポイントや注意点について，事前に知っておくべきこと（STEP Ⅰ～Ⅲ），実際に行うこと（STEP Ⅳ）の2つに分けて述べてみたい．
