感染症の薬と理学療法

はじめに

　感染症診療は細菌学，解剖学，臨床検査学，薬理学（抗菌薬），感染対策，免疫学（ワクチン）など，幅広い知識を要するため，医師でさえ苦手とする領域です．筆者らも医学生時代，これらの勉強は非常に苦痛で，細菌や抗菌薬の名前を必死に暗記したものの，試験が終わるとともに忘れてしまったものでした．しかし，臨床の現場では感染症の話をしない日はありません．本稿では，日常で理学療法士が遭遇しそうなエピソードを交えながら，感染症診療の原則と最小限の感染対策，予防方法についてまとめます．
