運動学習理論と理学療法―オーバービュー

ここ数年の間に，日本の理学療法関連雑誌や研修会で「運動学習」というテーマが取り上げられることが多くなってきた．このような変化が生じている背景には，やはり米国の影響を考えないわけにはいかない．
米国では，神経系理学療法学の科学的基盤を検討するために，過去45年の間に3回の大規模な学術会議が開催された．NUSTEP（Northwestern University Special Therapeutic Exercise Project，1966年開催），ⅡSTEP（Special Therapeutic Exercise Project，1990年開催），ⅢSTEP（Symposium on Translating Evidence to Practice，2005年開催）である．STEP会議の経過は図1に示すように考えることができる．これらの会議におけるより詳しい議論の変遷と意義については星論文1）を参照されると良いだろう．
