肘部管症候群と胸郭出口症候群—若年者と中高年者の違い

はじめに

　上肢運動器疾患の多くは，関節機能の破綻や筋骨格系の器質的異常がまず疑われるが，本稿のテーマである「末梢神経障害」も高率に遭遇する．末梢神経障害の存在を，最初から念頭に置いて患者に向き合わないと，見当違いの評価・治療となる恐れもある．われわれ理学療法士が常日頃から末梢神経障害に対して“見抜く”意識をもつ必要があると考える．

　本稿では，肘部管症候群と胸郭出口症候群の解剖・病態について文献的考察を踏まえながら概説するとともに，若年者と中高年者の違いについて述べる．
