Long COVIDと世界の理学療法

はじめに

　世界保健機関（World Health Organization：WHO）は2017年に「Rehabilitation 2030 Initiative」を立ち上げた^1）．Universal health coverage（UHC）の達成やリハビリテーションを必要とするすべての人々がアクセスできるシステムの構築を目標としている．

　また，2022年10月にWHOブリテンで報告されたコロナウイルス感染症2019（COVID-19）後のリハビリテーションケアモデルに関するシステマティックレビュー^2）では，理学療法士を含む多職種による種々の医療資源・アプローチの活用が提案されている．

　世界理学療法連盟ではCOVID-19のパンデミックが始まった早期から，関連する情報を公開している．2021年6月には，COVID-19が与えた影響について9つの報告を発表した^3）．COVID-19に関する理解を深めるための一般向けの情報だけでなく，理学療法士向けに運動療法を行うにあたっての注意点など，より質の高い，安全な理学療法，リハビリテーションを提供するための情報を発信している．そのなかには，Long COVIDについての報告も含まれている^4）．しかしLong COVIDと理学療法，リハビリテーションに関連する日本での報告や取り組みは少ないことから，本欄での情報公開は，広く関心を高めるためのきっかけになるのではないかと期待するところである．本稿では世界理学療法連盟のLong COVIDに対する取り組みと，日本を含む各国の理学療法士協会の取り組みを紹介する．
