この特集について

河村　今回の特集について，簡単に説明しておきますと，2010年の神経学会（第51回日本神経学会総会）のシンポジウム「辺縁系をめぐって」が元になっています。一部変更していますが，概ねそのときのシンポジストに原稿を依頼しました。それで，この対談はそのシンポジウムの司会を務めた私たち2人で，特集項目の中では取り上げきれなかったものを紹介しつつ，より多くの読者にこの領域のおもしろさが伝わればと思って企画しました。

福武　あのシンポジウムは「島皮質をめぐって」で応募したのですが，神経学会としては少し狭すぎるのではないかというお話があり，辺縁系がテーマになりました。かなり，ややこしい領域ではありますね。
