ギラン・バレー症候群の疫学

ギラン・バレー症候群の発症率，性差，好発年齢などの疫学は，古くは北米，英国，アイスランド，ノルウェーで，1980年以降ではカナダ，イタリア，スペイン，スウェーデンから報告されてきた。ギラン・バレー症候群はどの国においても，あらゆる年齢層にみられ，男性に多く，高齢になるほど頻度が増す。年間発症率は人口10万人当たり0.62〜2.66人，男女比は1.78：1である。日本では発症年齢が比較的若く，フィッシャー症候群が他国より多い。
