文献概要

真菌性髄膜炎は細菌性髄膜炎などの急性髄膜炎と比較し，より潜行性の経過をたどることから，ときに認知症との鑑別を要する。真菌性髄膜炎の多くはヒト免疫不全ウイルス（HIV）感染症や血液疾患などの基礎疾患を有する患者にみられるが，クリプトコッカス症やコクシジオイデス症は健常者においてもみられる。真菌性髄膜炎は早期診断，早期治療がなされなければ転帰不良となることから，臨床家は決して見逃してはならない。
