知的活動は認知症の発症に関与するのか

文献概要

本総説では，知的活動が認知症の発症にどう関与しているかについて先行研究の知見に基づき論述した。今回取り上げた主な知的活動は，児童〜青年期教育や学習，成人期以降の知的な活動，および壮年期以降の認知的介入である。知的活動の定義や認知症との関連についてはさまざまな意見がある。現時点では，認知症と知的活動との関連については十分に解明されていない点もあり，両者の関連については慎重に議論する必要がありそうである。
