文献概要

ブロードマンの細胞構築学的区分,3,1,2野に関連して,これと同時代の研究者の細胞構築学区分とを照合した。3つの領野の形態学的特徴について,Mountcastleによるサルでの顕微鏡観察の記述を紹介した。われわれが行ったサルの3,1,2野の体性感覚刺激に応答する単一ニューロン活動記録実験の結果を,情報処理の階層仮説に基づいて説明した。近年における主としてヒトでの脳画像による研究の成果について述べた。
